Funded by the European Union and the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry, it details how and why Hindu, indigenous, Christian, and Muslim groups are responding to climate change across the Indonesian islands. Worldwide,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thenarwhal.ca\/bc-government-kaska-indigenous-protected-area-foi\/\">Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas are preserving biodiversity based on Indigenous culture<\/a>, evident in Canada\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=MZ8xl_4XT7A&amp;feature=youtu.be\">N\u00e1\u00e1ts\u2019\u012fhch\u2019oh National Park Reserve<\/a>. Many other belief groups created movements, streams of work, or organizations that focus specifically on climate change too, such as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/jewcology.org\/about\/\">Jewcology<\/a>\u00a0(Jewish),\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ecosikh.org\/about\/\">EcoSikh<\/a>\u00a0(Sikh),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenmuslims.org\/\">Green Muslims<\/a>\u00a0(Muslim),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/omf.org\/us\/5-ways-to-participate-in-creation-care-where-youre-planted\/\">Creation Care<\/a>\u00a0(Christian), among others. Individually, there are those who speak up to address climate change, like\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2019\/10\/31\/opinion\/sunday\/climate-change-evangelical-christian.html\">Dr. Katherine Hayhoe<\/a>\u00a0(Christian) and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ffrf.org\/news\/day\/dayitems\/item\/17659-david-suzuki\">David Suzuki\u00a0<\/a>(atheist) \u2013 both Canadian.<\/p>\n<p>These contradictions show that, despite\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/faith-and-politics-mix-to-drive-evangelical-christians-climate-change-denial-143145\">a few loud voices from religious people who ignore climate change<\/a>, there are many working in an organized fashion to address it,\u00a0<i>because<\/i>\u00a0of their beliefs and working towards a common goal regardless of one another\u2019s belief.
