Arzina Zaver, Ph.D., Subject Matter Expert (Professional Neutrality)

Dr. Zaver is a progressive and devoted educator with a Doctorate in Education from McGill University and 10 years’ experience in the primary, secondary and post-secondary levels. Her doctorate and scholarly interests examine the need for multicultural education as an avenue to promote shared understanding through knowledge and dialogue, as well as how policies around professional neutrality impact identity and praxis.

She has extensive national and international experience working with educational organizations to develop curricula, facilitate workshops, design and evaluate learning experiences, and oversee the training and development of staff.  She has worked in non-profit as well as corporate settings. Her guiding framework is that relationship-building is the key to creating spaces of dialogue, and shared understandings. She has always been interested in the role of pluralism and religious literacy in enabling belonging.  Previously the Regional Director for British Columbia at CCRL, she now works with the organization as a Subject Matter expert in the area of Professional Neutrality. linkedin
